Proof of authenticity from a professional gemologist is an important piece in any jewelry purchase.
3) Keep in mind that while the value of a darker hue of yellow is more valuable, you will want to match the tint of the diamond to the skin tone of the wearer. Darker diamonds will look better with darker skin tones, while lighter diamonds will look better with lighter skin tones. Balance it out, as a very light yellow tint to the diamond may be confused with a sub-par diamond! A true yellow diamond should not appear cloudy but have a solid, rich yellow hue.
